Using Zotero in a hosted server-desktop via Citrix
I'm looking into using Zotero as a reference manager within our organisation and I have a couple of concerns.
We do all our work through a ‘cloud’ – a hosted server-desktop via Citrix.
• Can Zotero work in the Citrix Environment?
• Can it import existing reference lists?
• Can it operate with multiple users accessing the reference libraries at once?
Also, Our MS Word documents undergo internal and external review, typically using ‘Track Changes’. Is there a way to ensure no conflict between Zotero citations and track changes.
Thanks

2. That depends on what "existing reference lists" means. Formatted bibliographies - not really: http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/importing_formatted_bibliographies
items in a standard bibliographic format like RIS, Refer, or Bibtex as exported by almost all other reference managers - yes.
3. You cannot access the same Zotero database with multiple users at once,
but you can use sync and group functionality to work on the same library with multiple users.
Sharing a Zotero database on a local server will definitely lead to malfunctions and likely to database corruption, so it's strongly discouraged, unless you implement the whole Zotero server infrastructure locally:

4. In general, Zotero's issues with track changes have been fixed. My sense is that this works smoothly for most people, but there is still the occasional report of problems.
Our computer are not allowed to installl any applications and we are only allows to use Internet Explorer as a browser.
All desktops and laptops are being replaced by thin clients and we don't get access to any apllication, if it is not installed on the applications servers and assigned to an individual's profile.
We have tried using Endnote with Citrix but it makes the system freeze, so we are looking for a referenceing tool that either works on citrix or is cloud based and so far the success rate has been poor.
