references dissappear - partially
Hello all,
Today, I went back to my chapter - in which I had imported the references in the footnotes - and the references are there but if say "generate bibliography" it does not. I go to the footnotes and the references are not highlighted in gray which means that the link to zotero has dissappeared somehow.
The strangest thing is that I try to import the citations again and all zotero does is put a word in parenthesis (Palquist) for instance, but does not import the reference in Chicago style.
Any ideas of how to deal with this issue?
Thanks!

If you click on "Set Document Preferences" in the Word/LibreOffice plugin, which citation style is selected?
Do things work normally in a fresh document?
I am not sure where Set Document preferences is but Chicago is the style I am using, that is what is selected. I opened a new document and Chicago is what is checked. And yes, in the new document it works normally.
This chapter has a lot of information, pictures, different formatting that doing it again will be very time consuming so I am looking for a way to fix the references IN this document rather than creating a new one.
Thanks for any advice!
L.

edit: One more thing - please press alt+F9 and see if any code appears around the old Zotero citations. Something like And just to be clear - I'm trying to understand what's going on here. The fact that the citations appear dead doesn't make me terribly optimistic, but maybe we're lucky.
