1708689403, syncing problem after 10pm GMT+1-time ?

I don't know if my observeration is connected to this error number. But since last days I recognize the syncronisation hangs after 10pm, Central European time. My internet connection is in other cases fine. Its quite annoying because I need to work on different computers due I'need different operating systems. But by that issue I'm getting stucked receend days by that synching problem.

Would be nice, if someone knows a reason or a workaround for this problem.
  • What's the problem, exactly?
  • This may be a coincidence. Yesterday and the day before I noticed that syncing was sluggish during my noon hour in California. That would be about the time in question. I started a manual sync and went to lunch expecting that when I returned the task would have completed. It hadn't. The sync was quick and problem-free later in the afternoon each day. Are there times of the day when the server is very busy?
  • Syncing traffic has been heavier lately due to the start of the school year, and GMT+1 is about peak time. We're working on some things to speed things up. In the meantime, the best thing you can do is make sure auto-sync is enabled to keep syncs as small as possible, which will improve their chances of going through quickly if the sync queue is backed up.
  • Thank you for replays.

In my case it was jut one new entry which was not able to synchronize for several hours. I don't synchronize attachments any more, because I don't to protect me from such kind of problems.

I'm very sorry to say, if this problems continues, I'll need to say good bye to zotero, because synchronizing needs to be absolutely reliable for me. Very often I have to change computers, and need to work especially at this time at public computers in library very often.

As long as this problem continues... are there any ways how to bypass that? What unwanted side effects could happen by exporting and importing collections?

If you export and import you'll get duplicates once it syncs.

Not syncing for several hours is definitely not expected behavior even at high-traffic times. I'll investigate.
