brackets and International Comitte of Medical Journals Editors

Hello,

I need to publish in Annals (NOT archives) of physical medecine and rehabilitation (a french journal with both french and english versions).

-They want references numbered alphabetically according to author family name.
-Numbers must appear in brackets separeted by comas [1,5,12]
-The style requested is Vancouver Convention, International Comitte of Medical Journals Editors.

But Vancouver style in Zotero doeas not order references alphabetically and it does not use brackets.
Do you know which style is closest? Can you add this style?
  • Mention which existing CSL style is closest to the style you need. You can use the "Search by Example" function of the tool provided here. We recommend using a book chapter reference as example, since those tend to be most complex and distinctive.

  • Thanks
The closest style is Elsevier Vancouver.

I've downloded it from the style depository but I have 2 problems:

    1. The references are numeberd in the order they appear in the text and I need them to appear by alphabetical order of first author

    2. The match is said perfect for articles but a little different for books.
It's strange because the example given is the same as citations in Annals of physical and rehabilitation medecine BUT when I apply it to my word manuscript it puts the editors in another place than the Elsevier Vancouver example.

Here is the link to free journal (2011) http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/18770657/54

guide for authors is on the right column of this link:

    thanks!
