repeated citation

When writing for publication in a medical journal, I sometimes cite the same reference more than once in the same paper. For example, Smith LJ is reference 8. I continue writing and I now have 24 references. I want to cite Smith LJ again, and it needs to be noted as reference 8, not reference 25. The next reference will be reference 25. Can Zotero do this? One other question: Does Zotero run well under Vista? THANKS!
