Sync to a WebDAV-folder, multiple users

I recently gained access to the database of the research assistant I am working with who uses WebDAV with available webspace, distributed by our facility. As far as I can see, I already have access to the mentioned database. At least, the preferences-dialogue says that the synchronisation has been successfully established after clicking on "Verify Server". However, the synchronisation doesn't start at all although there is plenty of data storaged which I can access via the webbrowser by copying the url in the adressline. However this data is useless, for it seems to be encrypted of some sort (.zip-files with random contents of substantial size (couple of Mbs)).
Synchronising with groups based on the zotero webspace works like a charm.
I am using Firefox on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS with the broweser plugin of zotero if this is in any case helpful.

It is somewhat crucial that I can access not only the database but also the data itself. Therefore, I hope you can help me with this issue which doesn't produce any error messages at all.

WebDAV doesn't allow syncronization for groups. The files stored are not encrypted.

so I understood you to be saying that you actually took over the RA's account - i.e. are using her/his username and password - in which case the files synced to that account via WebDAV should sync to your computer. If that's right, then follow the link I post.

But if you're doing this via a group - what noksagt says.

Thanks for your efforts. We managed it so that it now works as we expected. After all, it's actually pretty obvious to associate the files with a group which both users are subscribed to.
