How do I use one citation twice?

Hello,

I am writing my dissertation and i have a problem with using one citation twice.

Example sentence A referrs to citation 4 (for example). then i have a few other citations and then i am referring to citation 4 again. is there any possibilty that zotero does that?

i could also just type a "4" after the sentence but thats not how its supposed to be is it?

Thanks in advance
  • With a numeric citation style (such as Vancouver, I believe), Zotero will do that.
  • With a numeric style (Vancouver, AMA) all you need to do is insert the same Zotero record as a citation and your system will recognize that you have used it before. If you are citing different quotations from the same source. You can add the page numbers when you insert the citation into your manuscript. Zotero is "smart" and will repeat the reference number but not add the page numbers you included with the first use of the reference. Know, too, that you can rearrange the text in your manuscript and Zotero will automatically renumber your references.

Zotero, for writing, is the best thing since opposable thumbs.
