Firefox 3 RC1

Despite being billed as compatible, Zotero 1.0.4 is still rejected as incompatible. Help!

    It's compatible, but you need to have update checking enabled in Firefox and be connected to the Internet, since Firefox needs to check the update manifest on zotero.org to see that 1.0.4 is compatible with RC1.

    Thanks Dan. My user account disables update checking and my admin. account Firefox has suddenly decided to keep crashing??

    This is a setting in the Firefox preferences: Advanced, Update, Automatically check for updates to:, and make sure "Installed Add-ons" is checked. These settings are stored in the Firefox profile, which you'd have to have write access to from your user account in order to use Firefox, so I don't think you'd have to use your admin account...
