Zotero Connector for Opera browser (version 11 and up), for use with Zotero Standalone (Mac)

Hello guys!

Is it possible that we'll see a Zotero Connector devised for the Opera browser?
I'd really appreciate to have it, because I am using Opera for a while.

Hopefully is something easy to "port" from Chrome or Safari to it, offering the same functionalities. I have even heard rumours that it was going to be implemented soon, but no official news whatsoever.

Thanks!
  • There are no plans for a connector for Opera. We do have plans for a cross-browser bookmarklet that may work in Opera. That should be released in the next few weeks.
  • Hi,
I would love to have Opera support, esp. in Win 7!
Just for Zotero I have installed Chrome (at home) and FF (at work).
But I miss Opera so much!
  • The general installation documentation says:

"Chrome, Safari, or Opera connectors can be installed by following the respective download links under the Zotero Standalone download button on the page linked to above."

Other forum entries also refer to the Opera connector. Does it exist or not?
I always use Opera for serious research, and find it a pain to have to switch out to other browsers.

I think it is a little confusing that on the page
    https://www.zotero.org/download/
that the list of browser extension (middle of the page) is different from the list of connectors (bottom of the page).
