Hi Was just exploring databases and zotero, and found that when I wanted to import a reference using the Ovidsp site it did not work. When I clicked the icon, which did apear in the search bar, an error message came up "Could not save Item". The linke to the exact page is below:

I've also found that Zotero does not work for OvidSP. Does it work for anyone else?

No. The Ovid-Translator seems to be broken.

We pushed a change last night that should fix this. Make sure you update to the latest version of the translator. Please let us know if problems continue.

I am still unable to import references from OvidSP. I made sure my translators were all up to date, and it still does not work. I see the folder or journal article icon to the right of the URL, but when I click on an icon, all I get is the red box at the bottom. No information is downloaded into Zotero.

I just tried OvidSP and it worked swell. Can anyone else confirm this?

@lewis are you behind a proxy? If your not sure could you post one of the problematic URLs

When I access an ovidsp site there is no zotero icon in the address bar. It's working for other sites. Here's a link:

I encountered a different problem when I was just testing OvidSP. The translator mixed up dates and pages, and did not always pull the full journal title into the entry.
Can you take a look at this?

I, like lewis above, get only an insipid red box when I try to import a list of search results from the main search page in Ovid. I had been using Firefox 2, but the problem persists even after I have moved up to Firefox 3 beta. Zotero is also up to date, although if there are any patches, etc. which may address this problem, I would be eager to know about them.

I just tried grabbing a few items from OvidSP and they imported quite nicely, so lets see if we cannot iron this out.

@ Aoconnor, can you post a URL and the search criteria for one of the items where the dates and pages are switched?

@ ramonycajal and zorze, are you behind a proxy? You might also try the fix suggested here

Hi,
OvidSP is still not working for me. If the zotero icon is present, clicking on it says: "Could not save Item". Most of the time the icon is not present.
