Problem With Blurry Font

I've had Zotero Standalone for several days now, but just in the past day the font in ZS has started to be very blurry. I know that the Zotero's Firefox plugin can be affected by different Persona profiles, but I don't use Firefox. In fact, the most major change that my computer has seen these past few days has been the fact that I uninstalled Firefox in favor of Chrome. However, uninstalling Zotero Standalone, reinstalling Firefox, then reinstalling Zotero Standalone didn't fix the problem. Any suggestions?
  • Can you post a screenshot to a service like http://imageshack.com?
  • Absolutely!

Here is a picture snapped with Zotero's original font size settings -- 11 pt, small. The problem is less pronounced when the font size is increased, but it's still present.
  • I don't know what's causing this, but I doubt it's anything in Zotero, since no one else has reported this. You appear to have some sort of translucency feature turned on on the window, which might be related.
  • @Dan Stillman: the transparency is part of the Windows Vista/7 default Aero Glass theme, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Aero .
  • Ah, OK. Well, try disabling Aero to see if that helps, but I still don't think this is caused by Zotero itself.
  • The comment on the transparency got my tinkering around with my graphics settings, and I think I figured out the cause.

I have an NVIDIA 560 TI graphics card, and under the NVIDIA Control Panel I had FXAA antialiasing enabled. Once I disabled that, the font problems cleared up.
  • eharwell,

I have recognized the same problem, I don't want to deactivate FXAA every time I use zotero, though.

Did you find any solutions so far?
