Conflict Resolution

I got a syncing problem.

I click the Sync button, and it comes up with a new windows "Conflict Resolution" and needs me to choose between "local object" and "remote object". After my choices, I click "continued", then it comes up with another notification:

Alert
Zotero items in the collection 'AAA' have been added and/or removed on multiple computers since the last sync. The following items have been added to the collection:

Then, it stucks and stays at above "Alert"
  • Then, it stucks and stays at above "Alert"
What do you mean by this? Nothing happens when you press OK?
  • Same pb to me. I'm regularly syncing mutliple computers and got this error for a few days now.

After pressing "ok", the alert panel disappears. But the same behavior repeats at every sync move.

Looks like I cannot sync to my online (university) server anymore : it misses 129 ref. that zotero asks me to deconflict before sync (129 clics !) failure.

I tried to reset server with local data -> no change ! (strange, huh ?)

I took a look at the firefox error console. It ends like this :

    ......
    ----------
Avertissement : The Zotero tag 'Théorie de la connaissance' has been added to and/or removed from items on multiple computers since the last sync. It has been added to the following local items:

    - Contre la méthode : esquisse d'une théorie anarchiste de la connaissance (Feyerabend)
    ----------
Avertissement : The Zotero tag 'World politics' has been added to and/or removed from items on multiple computers since the last sync. It has been added to the following local items:

    - International interaction analysis: basic research and some practical applications (McClelland et Research)
    ----------
Erreur : 'Error: No transaction in progress' when calling method: [nsITimerCallback::notify] = NS_ERROR_XPC_JS_THREW_STRING
    ----------
Erreur : Async statement execution returned with '11', 'database disk image is malformed'
    Fichier source : file:///Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/components/nsPlacesDBFlush.js
    Ligne : 312

    ----------
So if the problem comes from this corrupted db, I'd be happy to know how I shall fix it.

    Many thanks.
  • On second though, I guess it could be a local firefox corruption pb ?
  • @Stillman

(If you haven't provided a Report ID, you haven't reported it.)
Conflicts have suspended automatic syncing. Click the sync icon to resolve them.
Are you actually performing a manual sync (i.e., clicking the sync icon)? You'll get the above message until you do.

If so, provide a Debug ID for a manual sync attempt that produces a sync error. Make sure not to include an automatic sync in the output.
