Need Help in Exporting

I am an avid user of public libraries, and I crave Zotero. The problem is that I do not seem to have any way to export Zotero files into a recognizeable document. I only have Word and Notepad, and cannot afford to buy more software. Can I export Zotero entries to either of these formats, or can someone direct me to some free software that I can download? Or perhaps I am just doing something wrong, and these capacities already exist?

You can generate a "bibliography" which is a list of formatted citations. Select one or more entries, right-click & choose "Create bibliography from selected item(s)." Notepad is a text-only editor, so you'd want to copy it to your clipboard. MS Word is able to read RTF files well.

This process differs from "export library," which creates files for data exchange (these files could be used by endnote or another copy of zotero or bibus or refbase for example).
  • Great tip!
    thanks!
