Style Request: Energy Policy

I would like to request a citation style be added to the repository for the journal "Energy Policy" (http://www.elsevier.com/wps/find/journaldescription.cws_home/30414/authorinstructions#Refs). The description on the website is not as descriptive as one would have liked. I am including how I had referred to different kind of materials in an article I once published in this journal:

Journal paper: Kumar, A., Ramana, M.V., 2008. Compromising Safety: Design Choices and Severe Accident Possibilities in India's Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor. Science and Global Security 16, 87-114.

Book: Judd, A.M., 1981. Fast breeder reactors : an engineering introduction, 1st ed. Pergamon Press, Oxford ; New York.

Report: Keystone, 2007. Nuclear Power Joint Fact-Finding. The Keystone Center, Keystone, CO.

Newspaper article: Brown, P., 2003. Sellafield shutdown ends the nuclear dream, The Guardian.

Chapter in edited volume: Ramana, M.V., Suchitra, J.Y., 2009. The Many Phases of Nuclear Insecurity, in: Noronha, L., Sudarshan, A. (Eds.), India's Energy Security. Routledge, New York.

Conference proceedings: Sodhi, B.S., Chander, S., Chetal, S.C., Selvaraj, A., Kohli, A.K., Chandra, R., 1995. Conceptual Design of Core Component Handling System in PFBR, Conceptual designs of advanced fast reactors. International Atomic Energy Agency, Kalpakkam (India), pp. 133-146.

Note: nothing is in italics or bold font.

I tried to start with one style and editing it, but found it all but impossible to figure out even basic issues, like removing the 'and' between multiple author names that is common in many styles. (This journal does not have any 'and's in the bibliography.)

Thank you in advance
Ramana
  • there is a long list atm so this won't be quick, but it's bookmarked and I've got all the info I need.
  • Great. Thank you very much.
  • Is this http://www.zotero.org/styles/elsevier-harvard except with no journal abbreviation?

Which might be the same as:
    https://www.zotero.org/trac/export/5582/csl/soil-biology-biochemistry.csl
and perhaps we should add yet another elsevier style that these can be dependent upon?
  • Thanks for that suggestion. Elsevier's Harvard Style with no journal abbreviations is correct. The Soil biology and biochemistry seems different - it includes an 'and' between multiple authors' names.

A more general suggestion: it may be easier to find an appropriate style if the search functionality could include other distinguishing options such as: journal titles not abbreviated, book titles italicized, and so on. Right now it is limited to format and fields.

    Thanks again,
    Ramana
  • I'm going to work on this, I'll update this thread when I have something.
  • Think this should work, just adjusted the Elsevier Harvard style.
