How to cite Zotero in an article?

I want to credit Zotero in a journal article - what is the "official" citation?

How do you mean? If it's simply an acknowledgment, I don't believe there's any standard you need to adhere to. If you're writing a computer science paper and need to cite Zotero, there is a Computer Program item type. That's the only context in which I can imagine that you would include Zotero as a cited source.
