Unable to Sync

I absolutely adore Zotero and think it is by far the best program to help me study for my exams. I have about 3,000 journal articles and many, many categories and subcategories and tags. Zotero works fine on my laptop, on my cell phone (Zandy), and my computer at work. I purchased a PC tablet (HP Slate 500) so that I can study anywhere and have immediate access to all files. I basically got the tablet to use Zotero on the go. Sadly, I cannot get my big library to sync with this weak tablet. It keeps thinking - "processing updated data from sync server." It says this if I try to access the library from Firefox or from the standalone desktop program. I have tried numerous times after reboots to get into my library from my tablet with no luck. My RAM is only 2.00 GB on this tablet (not upgradeable) with a 1.86 GHz Intel Atom CPU Z540 processor. Is there a way I can put data on my 32GB SDHC card and access my library that way? Is there anything else I can do? Is it hopeless for me? I don't need Zotero to access the pdfs, just the info.

Thanks,
Lauren

How long have you let it go? It could easily take a while on an underpowered machine.

But you can always transfer your library the old-fashioned way and then sync normally after that.
  • I have let it go for hours. I am trying to do it right now. I will look into transferring my library the old fashioned way and sync after that, as you suggested. Thanks!
