Icon for Presentation; Icon for Document

  • I find the current green arrow easy to miss and very nondescript. Maybe the "direction" icon, or otherwise one of the "navigation" icons from fugue would work better?
I agree. The "direction" icon would be nice.
I thought of something with a seal icon (Fugue has one)
I forgot to propose it in my previous post but the "stamp" icon is a good candidate. Or, as aurimas said, the "document-stamp" icon (but I don't find this one distinct enough from document)
FWIW, I like Dan's idea of using auction-hammer-gavel from fugue.
I'm a bit reluctant on this icon because it restricts the meaning of "hearing" to judicial hearing. Am I wrong? On the other hand, the ear icon is somewhat daring. Frank?

No takers for "bank" with a lightning bolt then? :/
  • @Frank: Really metaphorical!
But you did not answer my question (Hearing)
  • Throwing out some other possibilities, for hearing:

    share-report (a hand holding a report)
chair--pencil (metaphor works in English, at least)
    balloons (i.e. several people talking)
    cigarette (okay, not seriously)
  • For hearing, maybe use balance-unbalance (fugue) in a different color? Also, I prefer the light-bulb icon from fugue over the lightbulb one from famfamfam for patents.
  • @Frank: "chair--pencil" is a possibility. "balloons" looks like interview...

    @Rintze:
Also, I prefer the light-bulb icon from fugue over the lightbulb one from famfamfam for patents.
Me too, I'll make the change.
  • I switch hearing to "auction-hammer-gavel.png" (fugue).

We've merged these into the 3.0 branch. Thanks to Gracile and everyone else for their work on this.

Looking at these in the interface, I think we need something other than a webcam for video recording. It occurs to me that a whole lot of people have never seen a webcam that's anything other than a small black dot in a laptop bezel. It's also not really appropriate for a wide range of things that would be classified as video recordings.
  • For video recording, I think that the fugue icons "camcorder", "film", "monitor-image" or "television-image" could all work. I think I like "camcorder" best.
  • In Rintze's selection, "film" is the more appropriate but looks like zotero "Film" item (the only difference is the color).
    I don't really like "monitor-image" and "television-image".

    Other possibilities: "camera-lens" or "clapperboard".

My preference goes to "camcorder" and "clapperboard", with a slight advantage for "camcorder".

'camcorder' is pretty indecipherable to me, but it seems like the most appropriate of these options. We can see how it looks in the UI.

I'd be fine with 'film', but I guess it's a little outdated for video.

We've reverted the new webpage icon for now. It needs to match the icon used in the Create New Item from Current Page toolbar button, and while it's nice to have a more distinct icon for that button, combined with the requisite "+" the new icon blends in too much with "New Item" to the left:

(I also tried the blue version, which might be worse: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7ynz9q7qbuzst01/tb2.png)
  • Very much agree that a "regulation" item type needs to be added.
  • wrong thread - this one is about icons.
