Syncing for more than few hours but with no progress (Report ID:1504838431)

I'm using Firefox 12.0 and Zotero 3.0.7 in Windows 7. I'm facing problem in syncing. The syncing show no progress since 12 hours ago. The titles and details of the items bookmarks are found in online account but not the PDF attachments. What can I do?
  • Restart Firefox.

I have actually restarted FF and even reboot my notebook but the outcome is still the same. Here is my latest error report id: 962077681 and the details:

    [extra output removed — D.S.]

[JavaScript Error: "[Exception... "'Unexpected request status 2152398868 in Zotero.Sync.Storage.StreamListener.onStopRequest()' when calling method: [nsIStreamListener::onStopRequest]" nsresult: "0x8057001e (NS_ERROR_XPC_JS_THREW_STRING)" location: "" data: no]"]

[JavaScript Error: "[Exception... "'Unexpected request status 2152398868 in Zotero.Sync.Storage.StreamListener.onStopRequest()' when calling method: [nsIStreamListener::onStopRequest]" nsresult: "0x8057001e (NS_ERROR_XPC_JS_THREW_STRING)" location: "" data: no]"]
  • Try disabling your other Firefox extensions.

I have disabled all other extensions and things still be the same. Everytime I restart the FF, the syncing will restart and stop progressing soon after that. Could it caused by a broken file? If yes, how do I identify it? Thanks.
  • This error is more likely to be caused by security software on your system or an issue with your network, but provide a Debug ID for a sync attempt that fails and we can take a look.
  • The Debug ID is D898953363. Thank you!
  • OK, not much to see. For some reason your uploads to Amazon are failing, so it's likely due to security software or your network (e.g., a proxy server).

One thing you could try is installing Zotero Standalone, having it use the same data directory (which is the default option on first startup), and trying to sync from that. That would indicate whether it's limited to Firefox (which might be more locked down by security software, for example).

You could also just try temporarily disabling your security software, if that's possible.
  • Since I have not change any setting in my security software and Zotero worked well before this issue happened, so I presumed that it is not due to the security software. I have tried to install Zotero Standalone but after installation, I see no trace of it and the problem still unsolve even I restarted my FF.

Well, you're going to need to do one or both of the things I suggested before we can help you further. I'm not sure what you mean by "no trace of it"—by default the Standalone installer should add an icon to the Start menu (and maybe the Desktop too).
