Export Endnote X4 *with* thousands of .pdfs in Win7 to Zotero - what are the latest techniques?
Hi All -
I'm trying to export a largeish (1750 refs.) library *with* .pdfs from Endnote X4 on Win7 to Zotero.
I've looked through the forums, and most relevant responses are pretty old (2009 and prior).
So, what I understand is that I need to:
1) Export my Endnote library as a .txt file in RIS format
2) Open it in Notepad
3) Search-and-replace "internal-pdf://" with "file://C:/where/endnote/keeps/my/pdfs/"
4) Import the resulting .txt into Zotero.
So far so good. But when I start the import, about - I don't know, around 1/4 of the way in - I get an error message: "An error occurred while trying to import the selected file. Please ensure that the file is valid and try again." All I get is an "ok" prompt - Zotero doesn't show me which file it choked on - and when I "ok" it, I'm back to the Zotero main screen, and nothing seems to have been imported.
Are there just particular symbols (combining diacritics? IPA Extensions? Chinese characters?) that Zotero doesn't like that may be part of my folder/filenames (Endnote X4 hides files in similarly-named folders, right...), and do I just have to find and change them one by one? If so, does anyone know what they are?
Might there be a more reasonable way to automate this?
Thanks very much in advance for any assistance!

Thanks!
Not sure if a new error ID is also needed, but the new one is 649127692.
Many thanks!!
Thanks for the response again. I've installed 3.07 and tried again. Same result. New Report ID: 198447109. New Debug ID: D1945556617.
Many thanks again,
Mark
Looks like that worked. Thanks very much!
Incidentally, there was one error message in the process: "C:\Windows\system32\igfxCoIn_v2401.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error."
I'm not sure whether anything was affected or not, but it's clear that the basic import process worked.
Many thanks again for your assistance!
