Empty reference in LibreOffice Navigator

Hi,
I use Zotero 3.0.3 Standalone with LibreOffice 3.4.
In LibreOffice I often use the Navigator to check the overall structure of my document and I was very happy to see that you can also see the Zotero references listed there as well.
I noticed that the Navigator can be used to anticipate when the integration plugin will crash: usually, if I see a blank reference in the Navigator, that seems to mean that you're going to get trouble the next time you try to do anything Zotero-related in the document.
So my questions are:
1- Can anyone confirm my observations? Has someone else also seen this?
2- Any idea how I could delete that blank reference line?

So far, the only solution I found is to copy the whole document and paste it into a new .odt document. That makes the blank reference disappear and the Zotero integration works again.
The copy-paste works for me now but I would certainly appreciate of I could solve this in a better way...

Francis.
  • I don't think we've heard of this before. What do you mean by "the integration plugin will crash"? Does Zotero crash, or does LibreOffice? If you can send a file that reproduces this to support@zotero.org, we'll take a look.
  • Hi Simon,
Neither Zotero nor LibreOffice (LO) crash. I get an error message with the title "Zotero Integration" and the message:
" An error occurred communicating with Zotero:
    com.sun.star.uno.RuntimeException:
    at com.sun.star.bridges.jni_uno.JNI_proxy.dispatch_call(Native Method)
    at com......."
and it goes on for another 8 lines of insults.
After that, if I close Zotero, I noticed that it leaves a "Zotero.exe" process running in the task manager and I need to kill it manually ("end process tree"). I'll upload the damaged portion of file to support@zotero.org.
    Thanks for your help.
