Unable to insert a citation in Word 2007

Hi,
I am using MS Office Word 2007 SP3 in Greek. The OS is Vista Business English. I installed zotero standalone, the winword toolbar seems fine but whenever I try to insert a citation I get an error Message : zoteroWinWordIntegration Exception etc and then the document freezes and the zotero itself crashes "xulrunner has stopped working". Tried to elaborate a solution by existing discussions (zotero.dot is in the right directory, I reinstalled the aforementionned file, I did turn off Avira and antiMalware, I started an new empty document) with no success. An error report with the ID 408436959 has been generated and is as followe

Failed to load native module at path 'C:\Program Files\Zotero Standalone\extensions\zoteroWinWordIntegration@zotero.org\components-9.0\zoteroWinWordIntegration.dll': (80520012) <unknown; can't get error from NSPR>

Failed to load native module at path 'C:\Program Files\Zotero Standalone\extensions\zoteroWinWordIntegration@zotero.org\components-8.0\zoteroWinWordIntegration.dll': (80520012) <unknown; can't get error from NSPR>

[JavaScript Error: "[zoteroWinWordIntegration Exception... "" code: "0" function: "zoteroWinWordField::SetText" location: ".\zoteroWinWordField.cpp"]" {file: ".\zoteroWinWordField.cpp" line: 0}]

Thanks in advance
  • Can you try downloading version 3.1.6 of the Word plugin and installing it into Zotero Standalone by going to Tools->Add-ons->Extensions and selecting "Install Add-on From File..."? This may be fixed in the newer version. If it works, you should make sure to remove it when Zotero Standalone 3.0.4 becomes available, or else it won't get updated and it will almost certainly break.
  • Simon,
    Thank you for the prompt response and your help. It is working fine with this plugin.
    I'm indebted...
