Zotero 3.0.3, Lion (Mac OS X 10.7.3), Openoffice 3.3.0, Firefox 10.0.1 Inter-Compatibility

Hi y'all,

Worked with Zotero (don't know what update) on a Mac running Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6.#) with Word 2008, but now am wanting to transfer my library to another Mac with Openoffice 3.3.0, running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3, and Firefox 10.0.1 where I am running Zotero 3.0.3

Thank you for any assistance, cheers!
  • Generally you can just transfer your library
    http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/transferring_a_library
or use sync. You should use bookmarks in all your documents -
    http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_usage#document_preferences
to assure compatibility between Word and LO.

It is strongly recommended to use Libre Office and not Open Office for better compatibility - Open Office is effectively dead and has been replaced by LO. You should upgrade Firefox to 10.0.2 or 11
  • Also, one other quick question is how to actually display the Zotero toolbar in LibreOffice because on Word 2008 for Mac, there was a separate dropdown menu to choose from to display the Zotero integration options but I'm looking in LibreOffice at: View > Toolbars > (then I thought there'd be an option like "Zotero" or something.

How do I set this up? Thank you adamsmith for all your help and prompt responses, it really makes me enjoy using Zotero especially since I know y'all are so good at answering these forums.

    Cheers.
  • when you install the LO plugin, you should see the plugin pictured here:

    are you not seeing that?
