unAPI + COinS + HTML5 microdata = Zotero confusion? No.

My online database (safetyLit) search results provide structured metadata as unAPI. For the past 6 months or so I've received many requests from librarians to provide metadata as COinS and occasionally as HTML5 microdata. Would there be harm done if structured metadata is provided in 2 or more formats? Would adding COinS damage Zotero's capture of my site's unAPI?
  • Zotero has a hierarchy of running through translators: Site-specific translator>unAPI>COinS>DOI>Embedded Metadata
so no, there shouldn't be any confusion.
  • As I expected, Zotero is able to gracefully handle this. I just wanted to be sure. Thank you.
  • (btw. - something few people know: If there are several translators for a site - e.g. a site specific translator, DOI, and metadata - you can select which one to use in Zotero for Firefox (only) by right-clicking on the URL bar icon).
  • That is good to know. Thanks. The more I know about Zotero the more I like it.
