Zotero 3.0 and Word for Mac - failure to update document; TypeError: field is undefined

I've upgraded to the new Zotero but when I try to import citations (using MHRA with bibliography) I get the following message: 'Zotero experienced an error updating your document. TypeError: field is undefined." I've seen a similar post from yesterday but couldn't see how/if it was resolved. Can anyone help me please? Thanks.
  • Missing information - I'm using a Mac with the Word plug-in.
  • Almost certainly this:
    http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/22476/i-cant-get-the-word-plugin-to-insert-citations/#Item_6
install the trunk plugin Simon links to and report back if it works.
  • Nope - I got the same error. My Error Report ID is 1130838370 if that helps.
  • Could you confirm that using a non-footnotes style - say APA or Chicago (author-date) works? (that would also allow you to keep working - you can later convert the doc to MHRA once this is fixed).
  • If you can try installing the MacWord Integration XPI again, I think I may actually have a working fix.
  • while trying to insert citation from Zotero library i get this message :'Zotero experienced an error updating your document. TypeError: field is undefined."report ID:1778611617

when i changed the citation style from vancouver to Nature, i could insert citations again. but i need to present my paper with references in Vancouver style. can anybody help?

puniyaa, are you sure that's the error you're getting? The error in your error report is
[JavaScript Error: "value is undefined" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/citeproc.js" line: 4480}]
If that's the error you're getting, you should start a new thread.
  • Thanks Simon. I installed the MacWord Integration XPI again and MHRA works perfectly. Sorry to take so long to get back to you and thanks again.
  • start a new thread?? m sorry i dint get what this means. do i have to open a new document or start inserting references all over again from the begining?
