Upgrade to Firefox 11.0 breaks zotero

Hello,

I've just upgraded to:
Firefox 11.0 on Linux version 2.6.32-34-generic

This forced the zotero upgrade to 3.0.3.

I no longer get the zotero button on the browser pane and hot keys don't start zotero. I have followed the procedure in the trouble shooting guide and have the following errors of interest:

Any help on sorting out the error would be much appreciated!

Cheers,

  • Have you tried reinstalling Zotero? We don't normally recommend that, since it doesn't usually do much, but this is a bizarre error that you shouldn't be getting.
  • Yup.....

I've tried uninstalling the add on and reinstalling from a fresh download. Still nothing :(
  • And you've tried disabling all other add-ons?
  • I have now.....

Still no change. I only have two other add-ons and 1 plugin so there isn't a lot to interfere......
  • Found a solution....

Complete removal of firefox followed by a fresh re-install from scratch.

Seems to have magically cleared the problem :)
  • Can you completely remove zotero without losing your library?
  • yes (though you should always have a back-up) - but if this is about your problem in the other thread, you won't have to and it wouldn't help anyway.
  • oh. What might help, then?

I answered you in the other thread - if that doesn't help, start a new one.
