volume problem and 304071743
Hi,
I have a problem, that I do find difficult to put into words:
I am on PC (Windows 7) and using Zotero 3.0.3 (that was easy)
When entering Volume for a book, it does not show up as a volume in the list of references in my word document.
Item type: book
Volume: I
and I get this: Útg. I. (which means: edition I)
Jón Árnason. Íslenzkar þjóðsögur og ævintýri. Árni Böðvarsson og Bjarni Vilhjálmsson önnuðust útgáfuna. Útg. I. Reykjavík: Þjóðsaga, 2003.
It should look like this:
Jón Árnason. Íslenzkar þjóðsögur og ævintýri. Árni Böðvarsson og Bjarni Vilhjálmsson önnuðust útgáfuna. I. Reykjavík: Þjóðsaga, 2003.
best regards
Margrét

This is an old discussion that has not been active in a long time. Before commenting here, you should strongly consider starting a new discussion instead. If you think the content of this discussion is still relevant, you can link to it from your new discussion.
You can find the locale file here:
https://github.com/citation-style-language/locales/blob/master/locales-is-IS.xml
we're always happy for people to help improve those. Presumably Volume should be translated somehow, though (bindi?) so you'd still get something in front of your I (whatever you would abbreviate bindi as - maybe Bd.?
That would then be a citation style issue - which style are you using?
Start a new thread for your sync issue. Most likely you just did something wrong in putting in your new password, so you want to triple check that first.
and thank you for quick respond.
I should be using MLA, but I use Chicago Manual of Style (note) instead - (I´m student at the University of Iceland, in Folkloristics at the Humanities department).
Yes, Volume is bindi, and it is the same in singular and plural, and is usually not abbreviated, often the volume number stands alone.
I found it there: it should not be útgáfa.
