item - "book section" - no place for book editor!!!!

Greetings Zoterons,

I have just noticed that when you go to Book Section in the items list - which I usually use to list chapters in books, there is no field available to list the editor of the book. In my academic fields (the arts/humanities/social sciences), chapters of books are a standard feature, and most citation styles need not just the name of the book the chapter appears in, but the editor of that book.

Request: please add "book editor" as a field for the "book section" item.

You can add an editor already. Add a second author field with the "+" button. Click the word "author", choose "editor" from the dropdown list.

Not sure what it's called in Italian, but follow the instructions linked to above - editor is the third option from the top.

Third from the top is "Collaboratore", which sounds more like collaborator or (minor) co-author. What's more, if I choose it and generate a bibliography or a BibTex file, no editor field appears. No other option seems to work, either. Is it possible that the Italian version doesn't have it? Maybe it's a bug...
[by the way I'd be happy to switch to the English version, but I wasn't able to... any hints? I'm using standalone]

What are the options you get? And are you sure you're looking at a book or a book section? not all item types have editors.

It's "Addetto al montaggio" in the Italian locale, which, at least if Google Translate can be believed, seems incredibly wrong. That's been there since 2007, though.

Hey,
Thanks, I switched into English and now everything works perfectly!
As to Italian – yes, the translation is totally wrong. "Addetto al montaggio" has to do with cinema or tv, not books... (montage editor?). Ans also other options seem to be wrong. But it seems to me that it's not only the translation that's wrong: if I do choose "addetto al montaggio", I don't get an "editor" field when I generate a bibliography: the field is just ignored...
