Problem with Endnotes: Z inserts short not full citation

I've started a new document and when I enter an endnote using Chicago style Zotero enters the short version of the endnote, as though it was a second reference. I tried reinstalling the Word Add-in.
I'm running Windows 7 OS and Word 2010.
