sync error

I just downloaded zotero to my Mac yesterday and I am repeatedly receiving a message (that takes several clicks to hide) that my password is incorrect, even though I clicked the save password option on my firefox. Are there two different passwords? Do I need to reset? If so, how do I back up the data already saved?

Please let me know.

    The error message should be telling you that you need to enter your zotero.org username and password in the Sync pane of the Zotero preferences and giving you a button that takes you directly there.

    This has nothing to do with saving your password when you log in to zotero.org (though it's the same username/pass).
