Dragging pdf link to a specific (existing) reference

Hi,
wonder if there is a trick to save a pdf link using "save to zotero" to a specific reference or drag the pdf link to a specific ref.

When I do it, the pdf gets saved, but as a lone file that I have to drag and drop to the correct reference.

    Just drag the PDF link on top of the item in Zotero.

    If that's not working for you, you'll need to provide specific steps to reproduce.

    found that it works as you described for links in for example pubmed central, thanks!

    What didnt work was a [PDF] marked search result in google scholar, perhaps because they have a long and strange url.
