"Zotero 3.0 could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 3.0.19"

This is the message a library patron of mine gets whenever she attempts to install Zotero 3.0. This despite the fact that she has updated her Firefox browser all the way to 9.0.

    Then something is wrong with her Firefox profile, and she'd be better asking Mozilla.

    I've referred her in that direction - to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ask.

    Did this sort of problem also occur with prior versions of Zotero? Did people end up having incompatible add-ins, or was something just corrupted in the profile?

    I can't tell you what's causing it, just that it's not a Zotero issue. Compatibility checking is handled by Firefox, and clearly that message is wrong (if she is in fact using Firefox 9.0).
