ris files not loading to Zotero but saved to disk
I'm using ZSA 3.0rc1.1 on a Mac.
When I click to download a file in RIS format it is no longer added as a Zotero record. The file extension is truly .ris (although sometimes in all caps), the proper box is ticked in Zotero preferences, and OS 10.7.2 is set to open .ris files in zotero.app.
Could I be overlooking some setting? There are lots of things in the forum about ris files but I can't find anything that seems relevant here -- except possibly something about mime types.
I have tried downloading ris files from Taylor and Francis journals, AMA journals, and other publishers without success. When I examine the ris files they look fine.
Today I am using scopemed.org and, although the author names are often unreliable (another case for an author toggle utility), the ris file appears fine.
If I copy the contents to the clipboard I can import the record. This becomes tedious because ScopeMed journal articles can only be downloaded one-by-one. Needing to download each file, open it in TextMate, copy the contents to the clipboard, and import to Zotero is a lot of work.
Also, when the ris file import worked I seem to remember that it converts author names in all upper case to mixed case. Upper case author names are not converted using the clipboard import.
Thanks.
Thanks

As for your work flow, given the structure of RIS, you can just paste a couple to one RIS file before importing.
