Automatically snapshot taking problems with ACM and IEEE
Hi, i couldn't report the errors using Zotero, so here they are:
Error messages:
[JavaScript Error: "[Exception... "Component is not available" nsresult: "0x80040111 (NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE)" location: "JS frame :: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Firefox/components/nsSessionStore.js :: sss_saveState :: line 1753" data: no]" {file: "file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Firefox/components/nsSessionStore.js" line: 1753}]

Steps to Reproduce:
1.I've "Automatically take snapshots..." option checked.
2.I try to capture an item from ACM Digital Library or from IEEE Xplore by clicking the icon in the address bar.
Expected result:
Take a snapshot of the page properly.
Actual result:
In the ACM case Zotero does save a snapshot attachment under the saved item in my library but the snapshot is always blank(about::blank). When I try to an capture IEEE Xplore item, it doesn't get a snapshot.
Thanks.

This is an old discussion that has not been active in a long time. Instead of commenting here, you should start a new discussion. If you think the content of this discussion is still relevant, you can link to it from your new discussion.
The ACM Link(Saving an "about:blank" snapshot named "ACM Snapshot"):
http://portal.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1103900.1103934&coll=portal&dl=GUIDE&CFID=61242588&CFTOKEN=20643594
The IEEE Xplore Link(Not saving the snapshot and showing the hourglass for a long time which, I suppose, means Zotero is busy with doing something):
http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpls/abs_all.jsp?isnumber=4459852&arnumber=4459861&count=20&index=8
Thanks.
Most people find the "Automatically attach associated PDFs and other files when saving items" preference to be much more useful. With both the cases you have here you should grab the full text pdf's which, I would think, is much more useful than getting a copy of the webpage.
Does that help?
Thank you for this great tool.
