"Place" field in Bibliographies

I am new to zotero and have noticed that when I click the "book" icon to import citation information into zotero it does not populate the "place" field. I have to do that manually. Is there a way to change the settings in zotero to specify that I always want the "place" field filled in?

    Short answer: no.

    Citation informations are imported to zotero through "translators" (javascript code). In order to import the "place" info, the translator has to be modified.
    Can you provide an example URL? Someone may try to improve the relevant translator!

    Indeed. If you give the URL, and the place data is in fact on the page, I'll fix the translator to include it.
