Citing an mailing list/ listserv in Chicago style
Anyone have any recs on how to add one email from a mailing list/listserv to Zotero? What Item Type should I be using (if its Email, where do I put the "publication")?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Author's name if available else author's email address, Subject line of list message; Name of Mailing List (electronic mailing list), date of post. Archive of message available at: http://www.-----, Accessed: (date).
In Zotero, I use the document item type. I use the title field for the subject line. The name of the mailing list goes into the publisher field with "(electronic mailing list)" appended, the date of the post in the date field.
I have edited the bibliography entries by hand when I have included this kind of citation in a document assisted by Zotero.

To cite material from an electronic mailing list, include the name of the list, the date of the individual posting, and a URL where the archive can be found. Additional information such as a file name or number may be appropriate. Citations of such material should generally be limited to text and notes.
