Vancoucer - German translation mistakes

Hey!

I'm currently writing my thesis in German and basically it works really fine, despite some minor translation mistakes.

I'm using Vancouver style, but this issue comes also with Vancouver with Brackets.

when there's an editor of a book it says "herausgeber." but it should say "Herausgeber."

and for internet links it says "Available from:" but should be "Verfügbar unter:" - there's also a space missing right before the "Available from:"

can I do something about it, or could you please correct the styles, since there might be more people with this issues.

Thank you!!!
  • @adamsmith, do you know why Vancouver uses lowercase creator labels? This seems unnecessary, and creates a problem for German as discussed above.

@lislkaminarizoku, these issues can be fixed, but we need to create a separate style for German since CSL doesn't (yet) have a term for "Available from:", so it can't be automatically translated.
  • @Rintze - yes, I noticed this - I'm actually in the process of (almost) completely rewriting Vancouver style because its csl code is such a mess - this is one of the things I'll fix. I was going to just define "Retrieved" as "Available" (and then "Verfügbar" in German)- since they have the same function I think that's legit.
I'll post here when that's done.
  • The new Vancouver style is now up - lislkaminarizoku, please check& let me know if that works for you.
  • Thank you sooooooooo much!!

I'll let you know, how it's working :)
  • I've just tried it out and it's working perfectly fine!

    I can't thank you enough!
