When adding a citation, rather than the citation, Zotero ads: {citation} AM. This usually happens after I've already successfully added citations. At the same time, Zotero will also change previously added citations such that the last digit in the date, and the last parenthesis are repeated: (author, 2010) --> (author, 2010)0).

I am using Word 2008 12.3.1 for mac and FF 8.0.1. Zotero 2.1.10 and Zotero for mac plug-in 3.1.9.

    I am having the same issue. I am using word 08 for mac version 12.3.2, mac 10.5.8 firefox 3.6.22 pythonExt 111009 Zotero 2.1.10 and word mac integration 3.1.9
    I get no error message just the word {citation} where my citation should be. I have restarted everything a few times and gone to tools > add-ons > to update and look at preferences. The pythonExt preference button is blue and unresponsive.

    I have discovered my error. At some point I changed the document preferences in Zotero from using format of fields to bookmarking. I have now changed it back and life is good again.
    Silly me.
