brackets in Hebrew

I just upgraded to 2.0.3 and it seems that when I have a Hebrew citation (name, or page writthen in Heb letters) the brackets appear in the wrong direction like this )אאא(
???
in version 1 it worked fine
  • I have the same problem.

    any ideas?

    Ophir
  • the problem does not exist and the file looks fine in OpenOffice
  • Problem stil exists in the latest version...
  • Yep, there is a problem. Zotero is great but its not designed for Semitic languages.
I wish it could handle Hebrew such a Microsoft citation tool in Word 2007 (one of the few bright points in that flimsy citation tool).
I want the POWER of Zotero with language handling of Microsoft.
By the way, that's how Microsoft dominated Israeli and other foreign markets: Complete language support in Office and OS.

But i am not ungrateful, Zotero is open source and free.
  • This shouldn't be happening-- I'll see if I can pin down the cause. By the way, there is a group of researchers working on a complete RTL overhaul of Zotero; they're focusing on Farsi, but the work could presumably improve Hebrew support as well.
  • I thought we knew that was a problem? See thread here with reply and tentative solution from Frank:
