pdf from your hardware to zotero

is there a not manually way to add a pdf reference that you already have in your hardware to your zotero?
  • If you don't care about bibliographic data:
click add & select either link to or store copy of file & choose the pdf.

If you do care about bibliographic data:
Download or manually enter a new bibliographic item.
Drag the PDF from above onto the bibliographic item or click on the attachments tab in the right pane & add the local PDF as an attachment.
  • Is there any way to do this for multiple files in a batch? I have
about 1500 article files as pdf and .ps. I also have their full
bibliographic data as bibtex in a large .bib file. All the bibtex keys
are the same as the pdf/ps filenames, so they match. I can easily
import the bib file with all the bibliograpic entries into zotero. Now
I need to import or link up all the pdf/ps article files to their
respective bibliographic entries so that the view buttons bring them
    up.

What I'm looking for is something like or analogous to JabRef's
"autolink" function, which searches directories for files with matching bib key
names and links them. Again, I have no problem with an import (copy)
rather than a link, I just want the direct connection to viewing the
file from the bibliographic data in zotero.

I'm new to zotero and don't easily see how to do this if it's already
    there.

    Thanks,
