get a dataset

I have a question:

how can i get a dataset for research puposes?

Im a student of information retrieval from de Universidad Nacional de Luján (UNLu) in Argentina.

    I am not sure if this is the right place to ask. How does this question relate to the Zotero reference management software? Also, if the question is related to Zotero, you need to be more specific. Like what kind of data do you need and how would you use it?

    I need the Zotero's dataset with information of users, papers per user and tags per user. Like the datasets wich are provides by CiteULike and Bibsonomy. My research is about a comparison of the three sites: CiteULike, Bibsonomy and Zotero.

    Zotero has not provided such datasets in the past, mainly because it has strict data confidentiality policies. You may be able to do something similar by scraping user pages to get a list of users with public libraries and using the server API to get this information on those users. If you try that approach, I'd be very interesting in seeing what you come up with.
