Please add http://psycnet.apa.org/ (Meta data)

Dear Zotero,

It looks like http://psycnet.apa.org/psycinfo/ could be parsed using meta data. Could you please try adding this site to those handled by meta data translators?

However the site also exports .RIS files. Maybe grabbing them is better?

For an example see http://psycnet.apa.org/psycinfo/1992-98221-010

Kind regards,
L
  • If Psycnet adds the citation_journal_title tag to the pages, Zotero (and Google Scholar) will recognize them properly. As it is, they have only partial data in the page headers and Zotero doesn't recognize the page.

A translator would be possible here, but it's probably just not necessary.
  • adamsmith has identified the real cause and added books to the existing PsycNET translator. I just pushed it out, so you should be able to update translators from the Zotero preferences to get the new, working version immediately.
  • Thanks ajlyon. I just contacted them and gave a link to this thread.
  • see above - this should start working for you as soon as the translator updates.
  • Thanks adamsmith and ajlyon,

I just updated the translators, but I get no Zotero marker in the address bar so I still can not save to Zotero. (Sorry I did not mention this before.)

I am using Zotero 3.02b.1 standalone with Chrome connector.
  • works for me with the Chrome connector. The marker looks different, because this is a book chapter.
If it doesn't appear for you, try updating translators again and restart all relevant software. Also make sure to reload the page.
  • Thanks adamsmith. Restarting Chrome made it work. (That APA PsycNET now works saves me a lot of work :-)
