Other payment options for storage?

Hello,

To the best of my knowledge, Google Payments is the only way to purchase extra online storage for Zotero.

However, I try to avoid Google as much as possible, and am wondering if alternative payment methods could be implemented for Zotero storage?

    my understanding is that the people at Zotero have been reluctant to do that because of the additional bureaucratic effort involved - especially because the only viable alternative is PayPal, which isn't really any improvement in terms of privacy protection etc.

    You can do a reasonable job of protecting your privacy by only using a google account for payments, logging out afterwards, and making sure to delete all cookies afterwards.

    I see. Yeah I guess there aren't great alternatives available. But I still hope someday someone might figure out a good solution. :)

    Thanks for the tip about using a separate Google account, I might give it a try.

    I just tried to upgrade my storage and got stuck in a cycle while accepting Google's "Terms of Service." I keep getting taken back to the same "Terms of Service" page. After three or four iterations, I was taken to a page
    that listed error 414, with the message "The requested URL /ServiceLogin... is too large to process. That’s all we know."

    Is this a known problem?

    I'm using:
    Mac Powerbook G4 15" PPC
    firefox 3.6.25
    Mac OS 10.5.8
