  • Provide a Report ID after generating the error.
  • report id 1181357966
  • There are no Zotero errors in there. Restart Firefox, reproduce the error, and try sending in another error report before restarting Firefox.

i tried downloading the 2 add-ons again, but the same error remains
  • Hello everyone,

I encounter the same kind of error. I try to install the plugin for Word (Mac) and when I restart Firefox I get the same message :

"Installation could not be completed because an error occurred. Please ensure that Microsoft Word is closed, and then restart Firefox."

    My settings:
    - Snow Leopard (10.6.8)
    - Microsoft Word for Mac 2011 (14.1.10)
    - Firefox 8.0.1
    - Zotero 2.1.10

I have tried to uninstall and install everything again (including PythonExt), but I still get the error.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Hi Juliette,
What kind of office pack do you have? Is it in English or another language? Because it does only work with the English version. Thats what I found.
    Good luck!

    Thanks for the tip!
My Office pack is in French, so that might be the source of the problem (and unfortunately it seems impossible to change). But it's weird because the Zotero plugin worked before and I have the impression it has stopped working since one of the last updates of Firefox (I don't remember which one exactly, there were so many updates recently).
  • Is PythonExt enabled in Tools->Add-ons->Extensions?
  • Problem solved!
I thought PythonExt was enabled, but it wasn't. I feel really dumb now :)

Thanks a lot for the pieces of advice.

    Juliette
