unrecognized fields
I'm finally ready to switch from Endnote and am experimenting with the import functions.
I occurs to me know that in experimenting with Zotero last year, the thing that impressed me most was that the contents of any unrecognized RIS field would be simply lumped into one of the new Zotero entries subfolders. I recall looking at references with several 'unidentified' contents, the advantage being that even though they were not neatly imported into the correct fields, I would know they were there.
I've got a medium-sized Endnote libarary (~1500 entries) but with many notes (esp. Research Notes), pdfs, original publication entries, in short, virtually all available fields used. I want to be able to retain all this information, even if it's just in a lump list of subfolders.
Am I dreaming that Zotero used to easily import all these unrecognized items? If not, is there a way I can do it now (Endnote X5, Win7)?
I appreciate your help...

How can I get this spill-over "Extra" that bougau mentions?
Just save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory and try importing again.
I'll try using that file; though it's a pity Zotero doesn't do it anymore. It was probably the biggest reason for me to make the switch.
(arghh. so close...)
I'm using Mac version 10.5.8, Endnote X5. I already import the references to Zotero but I can't find a way to tranfer the PDF's.
I used RefMan (RIS) Export (the only available in Endnote X5) and BibTex Export. None had worked. I also tried to change the "internal-pdf:" but I could not find any possible way. Every time I tried to 'convert to relative links'. I get: No links were converted, as answer.
How can I export my complete library from Endnote to Zotero (references + PDF's)?
Please give me a step-by-step because I've followed the forum and it didn't work well. My limited IT skills didn't allowed me to solve the problem by myself :)
Thanks in advance,
S.
