Standalone Client: Excessive memory usage

Hello,

I had task manager open under Win7 and I noticed Zotero standalone 3.0b2.1 is using a whopping 100mb of memory - for what!? I have maybe a total of 30 citations in the database, so what exactly are these resources going towards?

Is this a known bug or memory leak?
  • In 2011, 100MB is hardly a "whopping" amount of memory for a full-featured application.
I have maybe a total of 30 citations in the database, so what exactly are these resources going towards?
The Mozilla framework that it runs on, presumably. Zotero is a program, not a data file.
  • Dan,
100mb for a program that does nothing other than store text in a database and connect to an online component is excessive.

If the resource usage is related to the application platform being used, am I to assume Zotero will likely remain a relative resource hog? I was essentially wondering if others encountered similar usage patterns.
