First time Zotero user on Mac - unable to make it work
Hello,
I saw there were numerous other similar threads to the one I'm starting and I followed the advice given in those, but I'm still not able to make this work.
I successfully installed the Zotero add on (2.1.10), Python (build 111009), and MacWorld Integration (3.1.7) on the latest version of Firefox (v. 8).
I am running a Mac OS X 10.5.8 and Word for Mac 2008. I keep getting the following error message:
"Zotero MacWord Integration is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 when run under Firefox 4. Please upgrade to Mac OS X 10.6.x, or downgrade to Firefox 3.6.x."
Everything I'm running is a much later version of what this error message says. I uninstalled and reinstalled components as well as closing and reopening programs. I've also checked for the Zotero commands under the "ribbon toolbar" and it's not there.
What am I missing? Thanks for your help.

RintzeYou should read that error message as "Zotero MacWord Integration is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 when run under Firefox 4 or newer" (this includes Firefox 8)

SimonI've amended the error message for the next release.
