"word plugin" of in-text citation function for google docs

google docs is better than word in that it keeps version history for your file, so you don't worry about messing up your file at times or the file crashes, but it seems I can't use it to write academic papers because zotero doesn't seem to add in-text citation automatically (as seen in the screencast at least) -- this is very important to me because I may need to change all the citation styles to another style depending on different journal requirements. Does anyone know if this is being developed? Or did I miss it?

many thanks!
  • For the time being you can drag and drop citations (as seen in the screencast) into Google docs just as you can with any text field. It is not currently part of our plan to develop more robust interaction with Google docs, but if someone wanted to work on on that we would be happy to help them.
