Zotero pane will not open

I am currently studying for a MA and have told some of my fellow students about Zotero. A number have tried installing in Firefox 7.01 and have reported that when they click on Zotero at the bottom of the browser the Zotero pane does not open. Is this because they haven't installed any data in Zotero before trying to open it? Is there another reason ? Can anybody help before I am lynched?

    Have a look at their computer to see if they're doing something wrong, then send them here - abstract troubleshooting for third parties isn't really possible.
    But for your question, no, Zotero will open even if you don't have any data in it.

    Thanks Adam . Problem is now solved. Maybe I should have waited before posting. Sorry.

    In my experience, graduate students aren't very prone to rush into lynchings. Except shortly before qualifying exams, that is.
