revert from Nature to AJP does not work

1) I produced a manuscript using AJPA (dev) style. Which uses "author name + year" as a citation format.

2) I set document preferences to Nature (to make it smaller for printing and reviewing), which uses superscript numbers between parentheses as citation format.

3) When I revert to AJPA I get the format "author name + year" but as a superscript and between parentheses.

How can I revert to the full original AJPA (or any other format)?

Thanks
Luciano

PS: AJPA=American Journal of Physical Anthropology
  • correction
in step 3) when I revert to AJPA, the change is correct in some areas of the manuscript and wrong (as described) in others.
Any ideas on what is going on?
  • this is a quirk that occurs from time to time without being explicable or replicable. Switch to a note based style like Chicago Manual of style (Note with Bib) then back to the style you want, that normally fixes things
  • It did!!! Thanks!!
That "fluke" is pretty weird. I tried switching several styles but your trick did it.
