Will it conflicts if it's installed in Firefox and Flock

Will it conflicts when I add the citation into Microsoft Word, if it's installed in both Firefox and Flock? Because I am using both browsers.

Thanks.

I assume that it is possible to set up two zotero installations to use the same zotero directory, but it won't be that way by default. By default you will have two separate zotero databases, and the MS Word plugin will either be communicating with one or the other. The items in your databases will have different ID numbers, so auto-citations you made with one database will be broken if you change to the other database running (as far as I know)--even if you somehow managed to get a particular item into both databases (by export and import).

If you manually set up each browser (using zotero's preferences) to use the same data directory, it should work, PROVIDING you never open both FF and Flock at the same time, and you keep your zotero installations at the same version in each. As far as I know, you don't want to give both browsers access to your (one) zotero database at the same time. That (I'm told) can mess your database up. Zptero is probably smart enough to object if you try to do that, but I don't know.
  • I have had Zotero installed in both my Firefox and Flock browsers for several weeks now with no problems. Don't try to run both at once. Otherwise, the only quirk is that you can only cite from Firefox (as far as I can tell, at least).
